Free Gym Membership

You’ll have a free gym membership to use across all our clubs. We believe in putting fitness first, and it is at the forefront of everything that we do. We encourage our Team Members to be fit, healthier and love their day-to-day work. We enjoy working out together; our Chairman and Managing Director, are regulars on the gym floor, along with Senior Managers.

Friends & Family Membership

We appreciate that Team Members enjoy training with their friends or family members so from day one of employment Team Members are eligible for a 50% discounted membership for a family member or friend for as long as they are employed with Fitness First.

Long Service Award

It is always great to see so many individuals across the business hit long service milestones. Each year we celebrate these achievements with long service awards.

Fitness Days and Challenges

In the Clubs we have monthly fitness challenges, one of the fun ways we compete together in our teams. We hold regular fitness days for our Support Team in Wigan (our northern roots!). As part of the working day, they can attend one of our signature classes RoX and TraX– they’re a great way to enjoy time with each other, and of course to burn some calories.


As well as aiming to help our Team Members be fit, healthier and love what they do, we want to support them to be financially healthier and happier. To achieve this, we have partnered with Hastee, they offer immediate access to a portion of your pay when you have earned it.

Hours of Work

We offer all our Team Members contracted employment hours, rather than zero hours contracts, to ensure we support financial security. We embrace flexibility and work life balance and offer part time and reduced hours contracts.


Supporting wellbeing is very important to us. We have an employee assistance programme (EAP) to offer extra support to our Team Members to manage everyday challenges. Available by telephone, email, instant messaging and online, EAP provides free, confidential counselling and advice: to help gain a better work-life balance. EAP is an excellent service, designed to help with a wide range of work, family, and personal issues.

Your Birthday off

Take your birthday off on us! We encourage our Team Members to celebrate their day of birth and take a well-earned break from their day-to-day work.

Refer a Friend

We are always looking to attract the best talent. As part of our search, we ask our Team Members to recommend friends, if they are successful in securing a role with us, and, on the proviso, they have completed 6 months service the Team Member will receive a financial bonus reward.

Bonus and Incentives – Winning Ways!

We offer exciting ways to reward our Team Members for exceeding targets and excelling in our winning ways. We have a bonus scheme and regularly run other incentives in the Clubs. Throughout the year we recognise the fantastic achievements across our Clubs and say thank you for the hard work. We hold quarterly huddles and awards events.
